Meet Deaglan Furey, Director & Owner of Tutor Doctor Bromley
In making a success via hard work in his time at College, Deaglan understands the required effort to pass the exams that students have to pass these days. He passed his A levels in one year after struggling in a visual learning environment. After getting to grips with his Dyslexia, Kinesthetic learning style and developing his own revision style to reflect it, he was offered the opportunity to study Robotics at U.W.E
This experience has allowed Deaglan to develop more tailored specific services for students to engage their brain’s Neuro Linguistic pathways to take in and retain information more easily. This understanding is built into the Tutor Doctor Bromley Education Consult and trained into every Education Consultant who works with him. This gives a uniquely valuable assessment for students and families alike.
Dominique Capon is a person of many talents, previously managing teams of psychologists in the NHS. Dominique is in charge of recruitment and tutor management, working to match your family with a qualified, close, and personality matching tutor to get the best possible results for you. The matching process is a process of distance, qualifications, SEN needs, availability, personality and any specific items like pets or daytime tutoring for home schooling students.
Meet Our Educational Consultant: Stephanie Atkinson
Stephanie Atkinson is our friendly voice on the end of the phone, experienced and approachable. Stephanie can listen to your concerns and help you begin your journey with Tutor Doctor Bromley. She is always available to follow up on any questions you may have. Once you are part of the Tutor Doctor family, Steph will speak to you on a regular basis to ensure that all is progressing as it should.
Stephen is our first Education Consultant trained by Deaglan. An experienced youth worker, he’s taken to heart the fundamentals of the Tutor Doctor System, applying it with his own knowledge of the schools system. Stephen has experience working with students giving him the ability to understand the pressure they are under.
The History of Tutor Doctor Bromley
We had a simple idea and a desire to make a difference. We wondered why parents had to adjust their family’s busy schedules and drive half way across town just to put their child in another classroom with more kids… when in fact it was the classroom experience that their child was struggling with in the first place.
Tutor Doctor Bromley & Croydon was set up in 2011 and was managed originally by Joyce Batten JP, FCIH, MBA, MA (part) Sheffield Hallam University. In 2018, Joyce decided to retire and sold her business to Deaglan, who completed his Tutor Doctor training in January 2019 and took over the running of the business in February 2019.
