Tutor Doctor Birmingham Harborne Edgbaston Making A Difference In Our Community

February half term will see our next set of in-person 11+ mocks taking place. On the 23rd and 24th February we will be inviting students in Year 4 and Year 5 to sit mocks exams in English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning and Creative Writing. This will help to prepare them for the grammar and independent school entrance exams. If you are interested in booking your child a place or finding our more about our 11+ tutoring contact us now.

We attended the Our Lady of Fatima summer fair on the 9th July. It was a fantastic family event on a very sunny afternoon. It was great to speak to parents and children in the local community and discuss how Tutor Doctor could support them in their educational needs. We also held a ‘Guess the Sweets in the Jar’ competition, with the winner receiving a free tutoring session.

Over the summer holidays we will be holding 11+ mock tests. This will be open to all children in Year 4 and Year 5 that are planning to take the 11+ exam. This will be a great opportunity for the children to experience the set-up and environment of an exam, to help them prepare for the day. It is a great way to alleviate nerves and practice performing under pressure. The results and feedback are also invaluable in guiding further preparation.

If you are interested in bringing your child to the mock tests or would like to find out more about our 11+ tutoring, please give us a call.

Over Easter 2022 we offered mock exams for our GCSE, A Level and 11 plus students and local students in the area. This was a great opportunity for students to apply their learning under exam conditions and gauge their current level. It was also useful for our 11 plus students to see what the exams will look like and practise working under pressure.
