Becky and Claire have over 30 years combined experience in local education and live and work in the community they now serve as Tutor Doctor throughout Gloucestershire. They have experienced most situations with parents and students and as a result you will find them sympathetic to your educational needs and will benefit from their expertise.
As Gloucestershire is the county with the most Grammar schools in the UK, they are also familiar with the common entrance exams and recruit tutors who are comfortable tutoring for this exam along with GCSE and A-level provision.
Becky is a qualified teacher with a Master’s degree in Education. Her vast wealth of knowledge comes from the responsibility of looking after over 2,500 students per year with a focus on secondary and tertiary level English, maths and special educational needs. She also managed the professional development of over 65 tutors during that tenure, many of whom have remained good friends.
Claire has spent nearly nine years in local education with an emphasis on creative subjects and adult education and managed over 20 tutors. Claire studied at Oxford University attaining a history degree and went on to work in fundraising for the charity sector. Claire has two children, one of whom has autism, so she understands some of the challenges that arise when education encounters students with additional needs.
Becky is also qualified in Canine Psychology and has two very well behaved, lovely Labradors (and a duck) whilst Claire has qualifications from the Institute of Direct Marketing and the Institute of Leadership and Management and a cat and two gerbils!
Together, as Tutor Doctor Education Consultants, Becky and Claire use their expertise and knowledge to recruit and mentor tutors to provide one-to-one, in-home tutoring to students in need. Matching not just on skills but tailored around personality and interests too.
